Abstract

The Peruvian Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics (RPGO) is the official publication of the Peruvian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Its purpose is to disseminate knowledge of the specialty of obstetrics and human reproduction among its associates, professionals from related specialties and workers in the area of sexual and reproductive health. The Peruvian Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics was founded in 1955 and since then publishes the results of original research in the field of obstetrics and gynecology and subspecialties such as maternal fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, gynecological oncology, urogynecology, laparoscopic surgery, family planning, gynecology pediatric and adolescent, menopause and geriatric gynecology. In addition, issues related to gender and violence, teaching and research, and public health are published. The unpublished articles published in the Peruvian Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics can be about basic sciences, controlled clinical trials of therapeutic agents, effectiveness of diagnostic tests, epidemiological aspects, public health and continuing medical education related to the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
