EVALUATION LAPAROSCOPY AS FERTILITY PROBLEMS

Abstract

Laparoscopy is one of the most important advances in the study and treatment of infertility. A description of the most relevant aspects of laparoscopic techniques applied to infertility in women is done, analyzing the most frequent findings based on a Medline search and the published experience of this and other authors. Finally, laparoscopy opportuneness and both diagnostic and therapeutic usefulness in the infertility workup according to current evidence is analyzed, suggesting action guidelines in relation with clinical history and evaluation of the infertile couple, considering benefits and risks.
