Abstract

Preeclampsia is one of the main causes of maternal mortality in Peru and the world.
Management of preeclampsia with severity elements in patients less than 34 weeks of
gestation is controversial. In this article review of the literature and evidence and current
recommendations for management of preeclampsia with components of severity in Latin
American countries is presented.
