Abstract

At one time there are four dominant approaches to the study of normal and pathological human behavior: cultural relativism, the statistical criterion, naturalistic teleology and clinical approach. According to cultural relativism, homosexuality would have been normal for the Greeks of Pericles, but not for contemporary, v. gr. It is with the statistical criterion that women have been comforting, even in recent times, of being frigid in high proportion. For the teleological-naturalistic approach homosexuality it must have been and will be abnormal in every time and place, for going against the best specific performance of the natural human condition.
