Abstract

At present this work for your consideration encourages us only the desire to show some aspects of obstetric care system projected to the Community, held in Lima between 1958 and 1968, which was conducted by an institution created by the then government charity of medical and social care under the name WELFARE "SANTA ROSA", one of its departments, called the Department of Mother and Child function was prenatal care, delivery care and postpartum both home and in the hospital as necessary by a system of selection of cases.
