Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To determine fetal complications in pregnant patients with malaria. DESIGN: Prospective study. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Ten fetuses of pregnant patients with malaria by plamodium vivax and falciparum, followed clinically and by ultrasound at Tumbes MINSA hospital. RESULTS: Most frequent complication was acute or chronic fetal distress (80%); there was only one death.
